About Matt
A family business, built on reputation.
Batemans is Matthew Bateman. Matt took the business on from his father, and today we are a local, established business providing plumbing, heating, gas and bespoke design services, built on a reputation for quality.
Our grounding is as plumbing engineers. That is what makes a good bathroom fitter and a good boiler installer, and it is why we can take on the whole job: the pipework, the heating, the walls, the joinery and the finish.

Having used Matt before we asked him to fit a new en-suite bathroom and refurb our existing family bathroom. This was a large job as it required new stud walls to be constructed, pipes to be laid and the hot water tank to be moved into the roof as well as lots of other things. Matt and his team carried out all the work on schedule and to a high standard and we are very pleased with the end result. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt and will definitely use him again in the future.
Matthew is a good communicator - rare for a plumber in my experience, replying quickly to emails and is very pleasant to deal with. He fitted me in about a week or so after I contacted him to service my rather old boiler, did it thoroughly, and at a very reasonable price. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to others.
Matt fitted our new boiler and at the same time had to completely re-plum our entire central heating system. He did a fantastic job and the new system works great with no more annoying banging from the pipes when the heating comes on. We would thoroughly recommend him.
Matt fitted a new bathroom for us, he also put another tank in the loft so the shower was more powerful. Matt is a good local plumber, we are very pleased with his work. He is friendly, clean & tidy & reliable. We would recommend him for all your plumbing/heating needs. Cups of tea go down well too!
Must say a very big thank you to Matt for helping me out. I'd got no hot water and the heating was not working properly on our boiler - Matt came out, gave me a quote for a new boiler and fitted it all in the same week!!!! Excellent work - very clean and tidy. Will most definately be using Matt again in the future - would recommend to anyone that is looking for a very reliable plumber and very competitively priced.
